Wetrax GmbH was recently faced with an exciting challenge: As part of a new construction project for a hazardous materials warehouse, it was necessary to check whether our aerosol extinguishing systems could effectively handle the liquids ethanol, isopropanol and methanol. This test was not only proof of the performance of our products, but also an opportunity to demonstrate the flexibility and effectiveness of our fire protection solutions under demanding conditions. Within a very short period of time, the test setup and location were defined, and we were ready to test our technology under real conditions.
Careful preparation and professional execution
Preparation for this crucial test required extensive planning and organization. Within a few weeks, we had defined both the test setup and the test location. Careful planning was critical to ensure that all tests could be carried out under controlled and safe conditions.
Cooperation with the VdS
A special aspect of this project was the collaboration with VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH, Europe's largest institute for corporate security. Their presence during the tests gave the process additional credibility and ensured an objective evaluation of our aerosol extinguishing systems.
Successful deletion attempts
The tests carried out were a complete success. Our extinguishing systems were able to effectively extinguish all three liquids — ethanol, isopropanol and methanol. These tests were carried out not only to the satisfaction of our customer, but also to the satisfaction of the VdS. The successful tests clearly showed that our extinguishing systems are suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly in environments where hazardous substances are stored.
A step towards implementation
After the tests were successfully completed, the project was able to move on to the next phase. The positive outcome of the tests was an important milestone in the implementation of the new construction project for the hazardous materials warehouse.
